As I recall.
Ivan is a highly skilled tattoo artist, oil painter, Photographer, and illustrator with nearly two decades of experience in the art world. Born in the Dominican Republic, he moved to New York at 10, where his passion for art first took root. Inspired by anime, he spent countless hours at the library after school, printing and replicating Dragon Ball images. At 13, he discovered How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way, a book that became a defining moment in his artistic journey. It was the first of many self-taught resources that helped him solidify his dream of becoming a professional artist.
With over 18 years of experience in the tattoo industry, Ivan specializes in Black and Grey Portrait Realism and Japanese designs. His artistic evolution didn’t stop there—after reaching a plateau in his self-taught journey, he dedicated himself to a six-year apprenticeship, refining his craft and becoming an accomplished oil painter. Just as long as he has held a pencil to draw, he has also used a camera to capture life around him, integrating multiple forms of artistic expression into his work.
Ivan rejects the notion of being confined to a single medium. Inspired by the great masters of the past, he aspires to be a true Renaissance man, continuously evolving and pushing the boundaries of his creativity.
